Examples of our general framing work
Please note that this is a portfolio of our bespoke framing work. You can find the many of the styles we have used in these examples in our framing and mount sections.
Venice in Shadow
An original pastel by celebrated artist, Janis, simply framed but employing two types of mount decoration. Firstly, we have used a channel mount (we cut away the top mount to reveal the bottom mount), and secondly, the image is shadow mounted (the bottom mount spaced away from image by 5mm) to add visual interest, but also to allow pastel dust to drop down behind the mount...

Stacked Abstract
This beautiful abstract was one of a pair we framed for a show home at a recent housebuilding exhibition. The classic gold frame was enhanced with the use of a black stack frame and an advanced deep bevel mounting technique...

Big Ben
One of a series of four prints by Forney. These were for an interior design client who was re-decorating an exclusive London house. Framed in Larsen Juhl moulding with a matching wooden slip and double mounts, one with a 3mm deep bevel, they looked truly spectacular ...

Tailand Original
The most popular mount colour currently is whte/off white/ivory. But with a little thought, the creative use of different mount colours can really enhance a framing job, as with this warm painting of a little Tai village. This job also featured a 5mm paper wrap on the bevel...

Original Pastel
Another pastel from Janis. With pastels there is always a risk of dust being attracted to the glass through static electricity. To get around this in this example we used two frames, sandwiching the glass between them so it is held away from the image...

Venice Canal
We get many paintings and prints of Venice brought into the gallery for framing. This one has a subtle natural wood frame with an inner stack frame to bring a gold edge decoration...

Venice Canal - corner detail
Here is a close up of one of the corners from the Venice Oil. Note the stacked frame, and also the quality of the mitre. This is one of the main distinguishing features between framing companies - what would you want?

Otter with Deep Bevel
The country feel of this otter image was brought out with the rustic frame. We also used a 5mm paper wrap with an extra top mount...

Otter - Close-Up
Here you can really see the detail of the deep bevel and extra mount. We think this technique looks great...

|
Double Opening
The client wanted both sides of a promotional leaflet to show. We cut a double opening in the mounts; the top mount was in oxford blue to match the artwork, and a metallic gold bottom mount with a gold frame created a visual cohesion...

Big Bottom!
This big-bottomed mount really works to give the small image plenty of visual 'breathing space'....

Canvas Transfer
Increasingly popular is our canvas transfer service. Bring us any photograph or art print and we will over-laminate (to give protection) and bond to a canvas substrate. Then we make a 2" deep stretcher frame and wrap the canvas around it. Voila, a great looking contemporary canvas. In fact any of the art prints for sale on the eframe web site can have this treatment...

Shadow Mounting
Shown here is a close-up of a shadow mount and use of a black core mount along with a black stacked frame...
