Deadline Update

We have seen an unprecedented surge in sales over the last week and are starting to suffer from production issues. We've gradually been slipping further behind and so have pulled forward cut-off dates due to the weight of orders.

We are currently running about 3 days behind our SLA's, so our new pre-Christmas order deadline is Thursday 10th December at 5pm.

Production Updates

Cardboard Shortages

You may be aware that the UK is currently suffering a cardboard shortage. We've largely been unaffected by this and are expecting a delivery of 20,000 more boxes from our suppliers shortly. We hope that box supplies will return to normal by the end of January, but these are exceptional times and things may change. Please be aware that we have an alternative and effective solution ready to deploy if we run out of boxes.

Moulding Shortages

In addition to cardboard shortages, our 3 main suppliers of moulding have been substantially affected by Covid this year. Many of these mouldings are made abroad in countries like France and Italy, as such, our suppliers have struggled to replenish stocks consistently. We've increased our own stock holding of these mouldings massively in an attempt to smooth out supply disruptions, but inevitably there are some mouldings which we run out of from time-to-time.

Delivery Updates

Courier Issues

Generally speaking, Royal Mail, DPD and Parcelforce are coping well. Of course, the odd delivery may take longer than expected and some networks are limiting collections and services due to capacity issues. We continue to monitor the performance of these couriers closely and can adjust the services and couriers used easily if we see problems mounting.

Bad Weather

Please note that factors beyond our control (such adverse weather conditions affecting our courier network) may delay your orders. Our Christmas cut-off dates are based on normal conditions, meaning that in exceptional circumstances orders placed on time may still arrive after Christmas.

Factory Shutdown & Return

We take a little break over Christmas so we'll be closed from midday on the 23rd December 'til Monday 4th January at 10am.

This year we've been working on internal systems that make managing your orders easier, including the complete rollout of a digital production system. In early 2021 we'll start to roll out lots of great new features which allow you to track your order through production in real-time; so you can keep your customers up-to-date.
