Frequently asked questions

add

What is contract framing?

Simply put, is an arrangement between a client and a framing service provider to create custom frames for artwork, photographs, or other display items based on specific requirements. No legal contract is actually required!

Unlike bulk or wholesale framing, a dedicated commercial framing manager usually works closely with you to determine your specific framing needs and design requirements, before then providing a quote. Once approved the frames are manufactured, prints are printed and your order is delivered to its destination.

We will tailor our approach and offer discounted prices for high-volume or complicated framing projects. For instance, scheduling of deliveries and project timelines are crucial aspects of contract picture framing, particularly for art consultants and hospitality professionals who often work with tight deadlines or multiple projects simultaneously. Proper coordination between everyone is essential for ensuring timely delivery of frames to site.

add

What are the benefits of bespoke contract framing over off-the-shelf framing?

Our bespoke contract framing service offers a more personalised and unique approach to framing, which allows for greater control over the materials and design. This results in a high-quality finished product that is tailored to your specific needs.

add

How much does bespoke corporate framing cost?

The cost of our bespoke corporate framing services varies depending on the size, materials, and complexity of the frame and the project overall. It's important for us to discuss specific requirements and budgets early to ensure that orders are delivered on time and profitably.

add

Can you provide samples or a mockup of what the final product will look like?

Yes, we can provide full samples or digital mockups of the final product to ensure that you are happy with the design before it is completed.

add

How long does the bespoke framing process take?

The bespoke framing process typically takes between two to four weeks, depending on the complexity of the project and our workload. However, we offer priority services for those who need their project completed more quickly and have often been required to complete complicated jobs for hundreds of frames within days.

add

Why would I choose contract framing over just buying in bulk or wholesale?

Contract framing offers a comprehensive solution that goes beyond just purchasing frames in bulk or wholesale, providing personalised service and expert guidance throughout the framing process

1. Customisation

Contract picture framing enables you to specify dimensions, materials, and designs according to your artwork or display items' unique requirements. This is particularly important when working on projects with specific aesthetic or conservation needs. By working closely with us, you can be sure that the end product aligns with your vision and project goals.

2. Quality control

Because we work so closely together, you have more control over the quality of the finished products. You can set clear expectations and maintain open communication throughout the production process. Some clients visit us throughout the process. This leads to better adherence to your standards, fewer defects, and higher overall quality.

3. Consistent supply

It's important to have a consistent supply of frames for your project. Working with us, we can establish a delivery schedule that matches your project timeline, ensuring that you have the necessary pieces when needed. This can minimise the risk of shortages and delays, which can adversely affect project completion and budget.

4. Cost savings

Working directly with us can lead to cost savings. By negotiating prices and potentially securing discounts based on the volume of frames or long-term commitments, you can reduce overall project costs. These cost savings can be particularly significant for large or ongoing projects, making contract picture framing a more cost-effective procurement method. We will work with you to advise where cost-savings can be made.

5. Improved cash flow

You can pay for frames as they are delivered, spreading costs over time. This can help maintain better cash flow throughout the project, which is crucial for managing resources and ensuring financial stability. In contrast, bulk purchasing often requires upfront payments, tying up capital that could be utilised for other aspects of the project.

6. Reduced waste

By ordering the exact quantities needed for your project, you can minimise waste from excess materials. By reducing waste, you can lower your project's environmental impact and avoid unnecessary costs associated with storage or disposal of surplus materials. This approach also supports sustainable framing practices and can contribute to achieving environmentally friendly goals.

7. Project management

Finally, contract framing offers a level of project management that can ensure your framing projects are completed on time, within budget, and to your satisfaction. We can work with you to define the scope of the project, create a detailed project plan, provide regular updates and progress reports, and address any issues or concerns that may arise.

add

Do you offer installation services?

Yes, we offer professional installation services for an additional fee to ensure that your artwork is displayed safely and securely.

add

What is your level of involvement in the design process?

We work closely with our clients throughout the entire design process, from selecting materials and providing samples to coordinating deliveries.
