What is art?

There are many categories which make up the term ‘art’ but to most of us; art means a painting, a print or a photograph. Anybody can call themselves an artist. You don’t have to be the next Van Gogh or Monet in order to call yourself an artist. It might be a hobby that you pursue or it might be something that you want to turn into your career.

In order to make your artwork more appealing and in order to allow for it to be displayed, you will need to have the pieces that you have created framed. Some types of artwork such as canvas paintings cannot be framed, but watercolours and oil paintings should be framed in order to preserve the finish and the quality of the painting itself.

In order to assist you with your framing requirements, it would be worth your while speaking to a professional framer to discuss your framing needs and to find the most appropriate frame for the piece that you are looking to display.

Artwork always looks far more appealing when it has been mounted and framed correctly and the frame will also ensure that the artwork is preserved for many years to come.
