Three steps involved in picture framing

With the emergence of digital photography it is a shame that there are very few people who choose traditional picture frames to put up their masterpieces. Listed below are a few aspects that you must consider to frame your fondest memories.

Styles of photo frames: There are a number of styles of picture frames you can choose from. You can also choose your very own bespoke design if you see fit. Matting in a photo is a piece of foam board or cardboard that is located between the glass and the photo. Its function is to prevent the photo from sticking to the surface of the glass. It also acts as a protective border for your photo.

Framing: The colour of the background of the picture will ideally define the colour of the picture frame. You should choose a colour that is similar to the picture. If your photo or picture has a dark colour, it is recommended that you choose a photo frame that is darker in colour too.

The retailer: When you want to frame your picture, do not try DIY. Take a look online.

Keep these three important things in mind when choosing a picture or photo frame.
