All types of artwork should be framed using a mount so that the art is separated from the glass. There is such a wide range of mounts; there is no reason why you can’t find one to suit your piece of art.
With so many different colours when it comes to mounts, you will need to choose carefully so that the mount does not overpower the art that they are being framed with.
If you artwork doesn’t suit a mount, there are special spacers, which can be inserted into the frame to stop the glass from damaging the artwork. Having a space between the art and the glass also means that there is nowhere for moisture to collect and cause mildew and mould on your artwork.
