Perusing frames and mounts

May 24, 2010
Posted in Picture Frames — Written by Andrew

You could easily spend hours perusing the range of frames and mounts that are available to you when it comes to framing your latest family photograph or a picture you have had sitting in your spare room for months. With so many different frames and mounts to choose from, you are spoilt for choice but it can make the decision even harder than it has to be.

If you have a contemporary style of artwork, such as a modern artistic print or painting or a black and white photograph, you may want to choose a more contemporary style of frame and mount to enhance it when it is up on the wall.

However if you have a piece of artwork that is a little more traditional, then you may want to steer clear of the contemporary frames because they will not help to show off your artwork to its best advantage. Traditional frames come in just as many colours and styles as contemporary frames so you won’t be at a disadvantage when you are looking to frame a traditional piece of artwork. You will be surprised at the choices available to you.
