New Inglet Board Cutting Machines

November 11, 2009

To be at the top of the game we have to not only maintain our high standards we have to find ways to improve on them as well. Earlier this year our Production Manager started researching how to improve our factory and production processes, particularly with regard to the way we cut our acrylic glazing and MDF backing boards that go into your picture frames.

After more months of research he made a decision to invest in an automatic board and acrylic saw. Most of us have never heard of this or how it would benefit us in the long run. The Inglet is a vertical cutter with a saw blade which is known for efficiency and accuracy.

Our previous machines could only cut 1 sheet at a time, which became strenuous and time consuming; the new Inglet can cut up to 6 sheets at any time. Not only is this more efficient but it also provides a cleaner cut, whether it is the for the glazing or the MDF. The high spec extraction system collects 90% of the debris that is created, making for a clean and tidy factory and working environment. The machine has been such a success that we recently invested in a second one.

This is just another example of how we are constantly improving to give you the best service we can.
