Making art look good

March 3, 2010
Posted in Photo Frames,Photo Mounts — Written by Andrew

The main reason we buy art is to display in it our home and show off our taste in paintings, prints or photographs to our friends and family when they come to our home. You want to make the artwork you are displaying look the best and by choosing a bad frame and mount will result in your artwork not being shown off to its best advantage.

The choices you make when it comes to the picture frame and the mount are very important. You need to make the right decision, as your artwork will be displayed in the frame for a long time to come. The frame and mount should not overpower the artwork, nor should it compete for attention of the admirer of the artwork.

In addition the frame and mount are the best way to preserve your pieces of artwork and ensure that they do not succumb to damage from moisture or sunlight. Moisture and sunlight can cause the most damage when it comes to your artwork. Mold and mildew can ruin the artwork that you have purchased. Sunlight can cause it to fade and crack over time.
