Hang a wooden photo frame in five simple steps

December 24, 2009
Posted in Picture Frames — Written by Adam

Wooden photo frames can ensure that our important pictures are displayed in a location in the home or the office where everyone can see them. Listed below are a few tips to keep in mind when putting up a wooden photo frame.

• First of all you need to get your measurements exactly right. Measure the frame and measure the wall and visualize precisely where the frame will go. Find the centre of the space you expect the frame to go.
• Get someone to place the picture against the wall you expect it to go against. Use a pencil to mark the wall lightly at the very edges of the frame and the centre.
• Put the frame back down and then measure the distance between the hook on the back of the frame and the upper edge. Then measure out the same distance from the central mark on the wall downwards. This is where your nail will go.
• Hammer the nail or picture hook into the wall and then place the picture onto it.
• Stand back and assess whether the frame is straight. Adjust it if necessary.

Follow these instructions carefully to ensure that your wooden photo frame hangs securely.
