Framing your signed photograph

June 24, 2010
Posted in Picture Frames — Written by Jack

We all have our idols in life, whether it is a celebrity, footballer that you admire or somebody who has played an important role in your life regardless of what that might be. If you have been lucky enough to get a signed photograph from them at an event or when you might have met them, it is always worthwhile having it framed in order to preserve it.

Preserving photographs is actually quite difficult if you don’t use the correct type of frame. If you are a person who just sticks their holiday snaps in a box and forgets about them, you should be paying attention.

Photographs are one of the easiest things in the art world to get damaged. This is because they react from quickly to excess amounts of light, heat and moisture. Any of these elements can cause serious damage to the photograph which can lead it to being completely unrecognisable if it is left for long periods of time being exposed to light, heat or moisture.

This is why it is so very important to ensure that you have gone to a professional framer to have your signed photograph framed and to follow the instructions given to you by the professional about keeping it in a safe environment away from anything that may harm it.
