Coordinating colours for you artwork

February 28, 2010
Posted in Picture Frames — Written by Andrew

You will only come to regret framing your artwork in an outrageous brightly coloured frame with an equally awful coloured mount. Although you might think it looks cool at the time, but as time goes on, you will come to see that your artwork will suffer.

Not framing your artwork correctly can make it look insignificant once it has been hung on the wall. When it comes to framing it, you need to remember why you bought the artwork, because you want to hang it on the wall of your home or office so that you can look and admire it.

So when it comes to choosing your picture frame and mount, you need to coordinate their colours with your artwork. If you are unsure about what type of frame and colours to use, then it would be worthwhile seeking advice from a professional framer. They can advice you about what frame would be the best to use as well as the size that would be most appropriate for your artwork.

Having an overpowering frame and mount will only disadvantage your artwork and it will not look pleasing to the eye when you have hung it on the wall.
