Choosing a metal frame

March 5, 2010
Posted in Picture Frames — Written by Adam

Metal frames tend to be the most common contemporary style of frame that people choose to use to frame prints and photographs for their home. This is probably because they can be accommodated alongside most people’s décor in their home and they are simple yet effective at displaying your various types of artwork.

Metal frames can be used to display almost any type of art, whether you are into collecting paintings, framing unusual prints or showing off your family holiday photographs, a metal frame can be a good choice.

One of the many great things about a metal frame is that they come in a variety of colours. Coloured metal frames can be great if you have a black and white print or photograph. It will make whatever that is inside the frame stand out from the wall and be noticeable.

If the artwork that you are framing in a metal frame is brightly coloured, going for a neutral metal frame could be a better option than a coloured frame. Black or a tarnished metal frame will not distract the eye from the artwork itself as well as looking really stylish.
