Traditionally, picture frames have usually been glazed with glass – now though, modern acrylic technology is good enough to replicate the optical performance of glass. eFrame buy the best, so our acrylic (technically called PMMA) showcases your artwork brilliantly from the day you unwrap it to years hence! And it’s lighter, safer and better for us to send via couriers.

But the choice is yours – glass is also available as an option, as is no glazing at all if you need access to the framed artwork. Home and professional picture framers can choose the glazing of their choice with eFrame – and with over 600 mouldings, a myriad of mountboard finishes and colours… the possibilities are almost limitless!

Picture frames serve two main purposes – one is to enhance the look of your artwork and to draw the viewer in. The second is to protect and preserve it for as long as possible.

Until recently, most picture frames were made from wood; however this is not the case now. There are several materials available but aluminium is one of the most common.

Of course glass is often the most popular choice amongst buyers. However, you have the option to purchase Plexiglas if you are worried about it smashing or breaking. The purpose of both of these is to protect your pictures and photos from any potential damage.

There is glass available that is able to guard the photograph from ultra-violet rays, the material used for this is transparent and almost impossible to notice.

There are several jobs of the picture frame and mount, but the 2 main ones are to enhance the look of your artwork and to protect and preserve it for years to come.

You should seek the advice and guidance of a professional picture framer if you are contemplating getting your picture, photograph or artwork framed. Each individual piece of artwork is different therefore each must be framed differently.

Framers are always there to advise you on the best type of frame and mount would be for your picture. This guidance will prove useful if you are struggling to find the perfect pair for your artwork.

The other job of a frame and mount is to protect your artwork. They can stop dirt and dust from collecting on your picture therefore preserving it for longer. Moisture as well as heat can also damage your artwork and the frame stops this from occurring.

It can seem like a daunting task trying to find the perfect frame and mount for your artwork that will look great. However, with the help of a professional picture framer, this seemingly difficult task becomes easy. They will advise you on the best type of frame and mount for your picture.

Professional picture framers will ensure that you make the best choice possible when choosing your picture frame. Their advice is top quality and will aid you in your choice. Not only do they have frames on offer however, they also have picture mounts that can help enhance the look of your artwork and also help protect it.

When a mount is put with a frame, it gives a great enhancement to the look of your artwork. Furthermore, it gives protection against things that may detract from the quality of your picture like moisture, dirt and grime.

You shouldn’t have to settle for second best when it comes to choosing a picture frame for your artwork – the options nowadays are very wide.

It is critical that you put some serious thought into the style of frame you would like and also how it will look in the room you’re placing it in.

It is also important to decide whether you should go for a ready-made or a custom-made frame. You should go for a custom frame if you cannot find the right size ready-made frame (your picture is not of a usual size). This gives you almost complete customisation over the look of your frame.

If you have thought carefully about your decision, you can be ensured that you have not settled for second best but have chosen the optimum frame for your picture.

Due to there being a huge variety of picture frames on offer these days, the task of choosing the perfect frame for your artwork can be a difficult one – especially if you don’t know what you’re doing.

There are multiple things you need to think about when you are making your choice. Overpowering your artwork with your frame is a big no-no. The frame is there to enhance the look of your picture, not to take away from it. The frame also serves the purpose of protecting and preserving your artwork from any potential damage.

If your artwork is more contemporary, then you should consider buying a more modern frame to go with it. Similarly, if your artwork has a more classic, older look, then a wooden frame would be the best choice.

You must think about these different factors carefully to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with your final decision.

Fortunately, given the right things, pictures and artwork can be preserved for many years. The first thing you need to do however, is take your artwork to a professional framer. He or she will ensure it is framed to the highest standard and can also include a mount for that extra bit of protection.

However, even after your artwork has been framed you must ensure that you do not place it anywhere near direct sunlight because ultra-violet rays can cause damage. You must also make sure that you don’t hang your artwork near any source of intense heat like an open fire. This can also cause some serious damage to your picture.

You should always wear gloves when handling your artwork because the natural oils from your hands can possibly damage some pieces of artwork over time.

Mounts are also available for you to purchase online in the UK if you would like some more protection against any potential damage that may occur. Glazing will be included so no moisture will be able to build up inside.

It’s always fun and exciting to hang new pictures up on the walls of your home, however, over time these can unfortunately be forgotten about.

Thankfully, after becoming bored and fed up with the same old pictures on your walls does not mean you have to go out and purchase expensive new artwork, you have the option to spice up the ones you already have by giving them new frames.

Fortunately new picture frames are relatively inexpensive nowadays, and are nowhere near as pricey as new pieces of artwork. There is such a wide array of different frames to choose from these days so you will be spoilt for choice.

You can do all of this online, the most popular choices of frames are acrylic, wooden and aluminium. There are several factors to consider however – for example, size, style and colour.

After you have made your choices, you should take your artwork to a professional picture framer. He or she will gladly change the frames for you with high quality results. By taking it to a professional, you can be assured it will be a job-well-done.

Don’t go for the cheapest option possible when considering framing the pictures from the most important day of your life, your wedding. Because the photographs are supplied by a photographer that has probably cost you a lot of money, you should invest in high quality frames.

Hiring a professional photographer to take photos of your wedding day is a great idea – especially if you want to capture the feel and atmosphere of the whole event to look back on in the years to come. Having these photographs framed is a good idea and you can give them as gifts to your family members and friends in order to thank them for the organisation and time they have put in for your wedding.

You should contact a professional picture framer in order to ensure you have chosen the right picture frame and mount for your pictures. They can give help and guidance to you to guarantee the correct choice is made.

If you know exactly what you’re doing, choosing a picture frame for your artwork becomes a relatively easy task. On the other hand, if you are not familiar with this process then you might want to seek the help of a professional framer for guidance. Even though this will take care of most of the work for you, you will still have to make your final choice.

The first step in choosing a frame is that you must ensure it does not steal any attention from the artwork itself. This is important as a brightly coloured frame with a picture that it does not compliment can create a horrible looking contrast. You must keep in mind that the frame is there to enhance the look of the picture and preserve it, not to steal from it.

Another important thing to consider is the room in which you are placing the artwork. This is of key importance as overexposure to the sun, moisture or heat can really degrade the quality of your artwork. This is why it is worth mentioning to the professional you are dealing with where you plan on hanging it.

If you seek the advice of an experienced picture framer, picking the optimum frame and mount for your picture will become an easy task. They will offer you a wide selection of different mounts and frames that they believe will best showcase your artwork. The main goal of this is to give you an idea of what the finished product will look like.

The reason for using a professional framer is to guarantee you make the best choice of frame possible. In addition to this, they will show you a selection of different mounts to choose from and to compare when coupled with your picture.

When a mount is put with a frame, it gives a great enhancement to the look of your artwork. Furthermore, it gives protection against things that may detract from the quality of your picture like moisture, dirt and grime.

Winter is here and you could use that as a great reason to change around the artwork displayed in your house. If you are bored of the same artwork to look at everyday, you should consider investing in different pieces to make your home look great.

Particular pieces of artwork require different frames and mounts to encase them. This doesn’t matter whether it is a piece of artwork your child has made in school or it is a painting by a famous artist. It is for this reason that you should seek the advice and guidance of a professional picture framer.

Because there is such a wide variety of different mounts and frames available to you, it can be quite difficult to find the best one for your artwork. You must consider whether or not you would like a contemporary or traditional frame, what colour you think would be best as well as the style. Professionals can give you valuable help when it comes to this therefore do not hesitate to contact one.

It can be a very time consuming task choosing the right type of frame and mount for your new family portrait, or even just an old photograph you want framing. Since there is such a wide array of different options available, even though there is so much choice, it can still be difficult to find the perfect frame and mount.

If you would like to frame a more modern picture or photograph, then a metal frame would be the best option. Aluminium is the most popular when people need a contemporary frame for their artwork.

A more traditional style of artwork may require a wooden picture frame – it would be best to stay away from modern styled frames for older pieces of art. There is a large variety of different frames and mounts to choose from so you will be spoilt for choice. It is always a good idea to contact a professional picture framer for high quality advice and guidance when it comes to choosing your frame and mount.

The style of frame you choose largely depends on the type and style of artwork that you want framed. Wooden frames look better when they are around a more traditional piece of artwork like a portrait or painting. On the other hand, aluminium frames look better with photographs and more contemporary pieces of artwork.

Choosing the perfect frame for your picture can be quite a difficult task. Professional picture framers are just a phone call away to offer the best advice and guidance available. This will almost certainly result in you being 100% satisfied with your final choice.

There is a wide selection of different picture frames on offer and professional picture framers will help point you in the right direction. You are able to see examples of frames that will look best with your artwork varying in colour, shape, size and patterns. The same goes for mounts too – there is a very wide array of different colours and styles. It is imperative that your frame and mount does not take any attention away from the artwork itself therefore neutral colours are always advisable.

If you do not have a standard size piece of artwork, then you should contemplate buying a custom made picture frame. Even though there is a large variety of different ready made picture frames on offer, many pieces of artwork are of an unusual size and therefore require a custom made frame.

Creating a custom frame and mount can be less expensive than you first think. Because these last for a very long time, you should consider investing in one. Frames and mounts ensure that your picture is protected from anything that may reduce the quality of it or damage it in any way.

Custom frames and mounts for your artwork guarantees 100% satisfaction. By customising your frame, it allows for more room to say more with your picture. If you would like your pictures and photographs to last a long time, then a high quality custom frame can offer this.

Through the guidance of a professional picture framer, the challenge of choosing the correct picture frame for your artwork becomes an easy task. The majority of professional picture framers will offer guidance and advice for choosing the best frame for your picture, and also will give you the best mount options.

The most popular choices of frame are aluminium and wooden. These can come in a wide variety of different sizes, colours and shapes. Because frames can be made from most types of wood, a professional picture framer is able to create specific frames you may be after.

Custom frames made from wood and metal can be made if your picture is not of a standard size and you would like a specific style. Using a professional picture frame, you can be assured the frame will fit perfectly and you will be 100% satisfied.

Because wooden and metal picture frames are so versatile, they are able to look good with almost any type of artwork.

There are several factors to consider when you are framing your artwork. It is important to take care when it comes to the smaller details, as they can make or break your artwork.

Is it vital that you pick the correct picture frame for your artwork. Choosing the wrong frame can reduce the look of your picture drastically. There is colour, size, style and several other factors to consider.

Using a mount to accompany your frame is a very good option. This allows a space between your picture and the glass, meaning it is preserved better.

You must not handle your picture without gloves, in particular, paintings. The reason is that the natural oils found on our hands will damage your image, this is not good especially after spending a large amount of money on a new piece of artwork. Using a professional picture framer will ensure this does not happen.

The last step is to hang your picture on the walls in your home. Ensure that you artwork is not in direct contact with sunlight or any intense source of heat.
