eFrame completes purchase of new factory

Our current production facility has withstood the pressures of increased demand for the past 6 years but the time has come for us to move our factory and operations to a brand new location which will allow us to lower our costs and production times.

Our new wholly-owned production facility, which is over 32,000 sq. ft. and on its own 2½ acre site, will allow us to continue the growth seen in recent years .

This summer the new factory will be a hive of activity as architects, builders, plumbers and electricians get to work transforming the premises into a state of the art production ready facility.

It’s going to be a huge task to convert the factory – moving and setting up complicated machinery, installing a high-pressure overhead air supply, building new offices, top grade “daylight” lighting and so on. However, in no time at all the facility will be ready and provide the best possible environment for our teams of framers to carry out their work at a quality our customers have come to expect.

Sorry this has been a little late in coming but it has been a crazy time for eFrame over the last few months with Christmas and updating the website recently taking priority.

As you may have read a couple of months ago we took part in Children In Need, we were more than happy to do so with all the proceeds going to charity. Myself, Mark and James took part in the sponsored waxing. We raised over £650! So thank you to everyone who contributed.

You will be pleased to know that our legs and James’ chest has almost recovered fully.

Over the weekend we proudly launched and re-launched some new sections to our website. The biggest change to the website has been the Ready made frames section, it can be found on our home page and navigation bar.

We took the decision to start selling these type of frames after many months of internal discussions and guarantees from our suppliers. After all we only want to give you the best service and product we can. This new section has a comprehensive catalogue of over 500 different frame types and colours, so just like the rest of our website there is something for everyone.

We have re-launched the Using The Site and Help Centre pages too. Each page aims to provide you the answers to any question you have concerning ordering, navigating and purchasing on our website.

A new Buying Guide page has been added to the Help Centre, the Buying Guide provides you with an in-depth description about everything well sell on the website. If you would like to know more about Ready Made Frames then you will find everything in this section. It really is quite a useful tool.

Recently we were approached by Adam Dickens and his company t5media to frame some images he had taken on his recent trip to Africa for ZamCog (ZamCog is a charity dedicated to helping educate some of the poorest children in Zambia).

He needed these images framing for a fundraiser taking place on the 4th of February at the ROA Gallery in Pall Mall, London. The artwork was painted by the children of Shitima, and photographs documenting their struggles and hopes.

We were honoured to have been approached by Adam and were more than happy to help out to the best we could. As it was for charity we offered the maximum discount we could.

Adam recently sent us some pictures of the event and it looked like the evening was a overwhelming success.

Who did the prestigious magazine Artists and Illustrators turn to when they needed some expert advice about picture framing? Yes, you guessed it, that would be us!

But why, you might ask? Well, apart from being the UK’s leading framer with over 70,000 customers, we employ fully qualified framers who ensure that each and every order gets the ‘expert touch’.

And the ‘most expert’ of the experts is Jayne our Production Director who is a GCF (Guild Qualified Framer), and has more years experience than she would care to admit . You can read Jayne’s scribings for the magazine here.

So, next time you need some frames, don’t risk it buying from “Any-Old-Joe-Bloggs-Online-Framers.co.uk”, turn to us, turn to eFrame. After all, Artists & Illustrators magazine know a thing or two themseves about art and framing, and they did.
